A sparrow appears defenseless as it rests on the edge of a fountain amidst the indifference of people passing by. It seems so fragile, so unable to fly with no energy in its wings, that I really feel for it. Its journey will probably end here in this place. It reminds me of something Buddha is supposed to have said: “When a man takes pity on all living creatures, only then is he noble.”
