Not long ago I read that Segovia had been selected by the US as one of twenty four places worldwide that everyone should visit in winter. I don’t know who exactly came up with this idea, but I couldn’t agree more. When the cold comes a magical and fascinating atmosphere envelops the city. I like the cold in Segovia because it’s dry and doesn’t go right to your bones like it does in other latitudes further south. Here, it’s perfectly bearable if you wrap yourself up well. Not long ago I heard a climate expert say that temperatures this winter will be higher than normal and that it will rain more. The only thing that is certain is that each day that passes takes us closer to spring, which is when the city shakes off its lethargy and can be seen in all its splendor.
