The imposing sight of Segovia’s aqueduct leaves every first-time visitor to the city with a deep impression. A close-up view of this amazing piece of Roman engineering, built to bring water to Segovia from the surrounding mountains, is an experience that will stay with you forever. The highest point of the aqueduct, where it stands at a height of 28.10 meters, is in the Plaza del Azoguejo (a busy pedestrian zone).
