You can spend hours standing around the aqueduct watching all kinds of people go by. At its feet you can find a veritable Tower of Babel, a legion of visitors, all armed with mobiles and cameras. One thing that really catches my attention is that it doesn’t matter what time of year it is, you can always see an umbrella somewhere. It may be used to protect someone from the sun, which is really strong in the summer, or from the rain, or as a way to get tourists to gather round their guide. That’s what happens when you live in a city that people come to from all over the world.
