Nobody can deny that Segovia’s aqueduct, with its one hundred and sixty-six arches built of granite brought all the way from Guadarrama, is amazingly impressive. But the Roman monument is not content with having us admire its wonderful form every morning, standing twenty eight meters high and eight hundred meters long.
