As you approach Segovia on the Via Roma, one of the main roads leading into the city, you can tell from the unfolding scenery when you’re just a few minutes away from the aqueduct, and that the city you’re about to enter is a fairly small one. Segovia is very manageable. One minute a visitor can be wandering around city streets, and the next they can find themselves amid the truly spectacular natural wonder of the city’s green belt. It’s wonderful to feel you are only ever a few steps away from woodland, pastures, and rivers.
