All that is visible in the street right now are shiny cobbles and the silhouettes of the tail end of people making their way home. It’s a game of light and shadows that occurs every evening when the sun goes down on the steps of the “Bajada del Carmen.” It only looks like this for a few minutes, and then the dark envelops everything and the only light left is that of the street lamps.
